Ex- Physician Faces Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
