Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Retaliatory Strikes.

Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched strikes across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted sites linked to the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.

The statement noted missile fragments landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
