The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning fightback to defeat the Rams in extra time, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a sixteen-point hole in the final period, the Seattle squad emerged victorious 38-37 at home, notching their fifth straight win.

While the Rams had already secured a post-season spot earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team booked their return to the play-offs after a 24-month hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle have taken over their division's race with a twelve and three record, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the number five seed with an 11-4 record.

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two interceptions but recovered to make two scoring throws, culminating in the tying TD to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The visitors held a six-point lead at the break before Walker burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Rams cornerback Wallace then returned Darnold's initial interception for 56 yards, setting up a short score by Corum on the ensuing snap.

Darnold then found Barner in the end zone, and a converted conversion forced the game into overtime.
